About Daniele Chiesa

Recognised as one of today’s foremost classical guitar makers, my work is shaped through decades of dedication.

A journey dedicated to the classical guitar

My path began in Bergamo, Italy, where I started studying guitar. In Cremona, i foud the path to Lutherie; graduated at the Stradivari school there, i then specialized on guitars first in California and eventually in Granada, Spain.
Over the years, I developed a deep belief that a luthier must be educated not only in technique, but also in the aesthetic and acoustic principles that give an instrument its voice.
Today, based in Spain, I continue to build guitars that reflect sensitivity, precision, and respect for tradition.

01. Craftsmanship

Each guitar is built using refined traditional techniques and carefully selected woods.

My work follows the lineage of classical Spanish guitar making, with close attention to balance, colour, and projection.

I work with spruce, cedar, rosewood and other tonewoods chosen for their acoustic qualities.

Meet Daniele Chiesa

Born in Bergamo in 1973, I began studying the guitar at twelve and soon became fascinated by the craft behind the instrument.

I received the foundation of my formal training at the Stradivari school in Cremona, learning traditional violinmaking while starting my journey on guitars at the same time.

Upon graduating, i focused solely on guitars thereafter; first through three years in California, working on classical, steel string and archtop guitars.
In 2002 i took a classical guitarmaking class in Cordoba, Spain, with the great Master Paco Santiago Marin from Granada. Getting to know such profound, deep and uninterrupted tradition, i devoted all my efforts since to learn from it, practice it and spread it.

I had the great fortune to learn from amazing figures like my first mentor Paco, his uncle and legend Antonio Marin Montero and the late Rolf Eichinger. I’ve also tried to share as much as i could through apprentices and colleagues and giving speeches and lectures at guitar festivals and Lutherie schools.
I now build guitars in the hills of Málaga province for musicians around the world.
