Merce Font Model

Unique 60cm scale guitar

Small in size, big in sound.

Merce Font had been playing one of my 640mm scale guitars for years when she decided to go further — she needed something even shorter. Together we took the leap and developed this 600mm instrument, a scale length that few makers attempt seriously. The result exceeded all expectations, and Merce has played it ever since. The decoration is her own story told in wood: the rosette is drawn from the glass ceiling of the Palau de la Música Catalana, the iconic Modernista concert hall in her hometown — an image recognisable worldwide, rendered here in the soundhole of her guitar.
